Spicy Dry Roasted Almonds

These Almonds are so quick and easy no baking skills required! You can customise as much as you like and make this recipe your own. It can be hard to find dry roasted nuts that are Gluten Free and nuts are sooooo good for Coeliacs as they contain high levels of Calcium. Coeliacs typically need 30% more calcium so this is a tasty way to top up your intake. Get Creative!

Ingredients:

I have put a list here, but honestly be as creative as you like with your own spices or different nuts - no rules!

  • 300g Almonds - or as many as you want to make

  • 1 1/2 Tbs Butter

  • 1 Tbs Smoked Paprika

  • 1 Tsp Freshly Ground Dried Chillies

  • 1 Tsp Salt

Recipe:

  1. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and spread out your Almonds/Nuts

  2. Bake for 15 minutes at 160c fan/Gas Mark 4

  3. Whilst the nuts bake, put the Butter, Salt and Spices in a large bowl

  4. Remove the nuts from the oven and add to the bowl of spices, mix until fully covered

  5. Return the nuts to the baking tray and bake for a further 2 minutes

  6. Remove from the oven and allow them to fully cool before placing them in a airtight container to store.

  7. They will last for at least 3 days

Enjoy!
